Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-06-29
All payments are non-refundable
Credit packs, subscriptions, the Founders deposit, and any other purchase made on Zooq are non-refundable. Before buying, you can test the API with 300 free credits granted on signup to confirm it fits your use case.
Automatic credit returns (upstream 5xx)
When an upstream provider returns a 5xx error, the credits charged for that individual request are returned to your balance automatically. This is a credit-ledger correction, not a money refund — your balance goes back up; no card is touched. The adjustment appears in your transaction history within seconds.
Service downtime
Zooq does not provide monetary reimbursement, credit top-ups, extended subscription periods, or any other form of compensation for service downtime, planned maintenance, upstream outages, or degraded performance. The Service is offered as-is, with no uptime SLA on any tier.
Live status is at /status. We publish incidents there for transparency, not as a basis for refunds.
If Zooq is discontinued
If Zooq permanently shuts down, the maximum amount any customer is entitled to is calculated as:
refund_max = (credits_bought − credits_used) × price_per_credit_paid
where price_per_credit_paid is the effective per-credit price of the specific pack or subscription that originally credited your account (calculated separately per purchase). Used credits, unredeemed bonuses, and discount portions are not refundable. Any such wind-down refund is paid via the original payment method or equivalent within 30 days of the shutdown announcement.
This clause is the entire scope of compensation owed to customers in a discontinuation scenario.
