Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By using Zooq you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use it.

2. The Service

Zooq provides programmatic access to publicly available professional data via a credit-based REST and MCP API. You authenticate with an API key, consume credits per request, and receive structured JSON responses.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable laws (GDPR, CASL, CAN-SPAM, etc.).
  • Don't use Zooq for harassment, scraping protected data, or anything in our AUP.
  • Honor opt-out requests from individuals whose data you process.
  • Keep your API key secret. We hash but don't store keys; if leaked, regenerate it.

4. Pricing and credits

Credits are debited atomically per request. Credits charged for failed upstream calls are returned to your balance automatically; this is a credit-ledger correction, not a money refund. Credit packs do not expire. Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled. All purchases are non-refundable — see Refund Policy.

5. Availability and downtime

We target 99.9% monthly uptime but offer no SLA on any tier. Live status at /status.

We do not issue monetary reimbursement, credit top-ups, or extended subscription periods for downtime, planned maintenance, upstream provider outages, or degraded performance. See the Refund Policy.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate the AUP. Soft-deletion is 30 days; hard deletion follows.

7. Liability

Zooq is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. Disputes are resolved in the courts of Tel Aviv-Yafo.

9. Service discontinuation

If Zooq is permanently discontinued, the maximum amount any customer is entitled to is (credits_bought − credits_used) × price_per_credit_paid, calculated separately per past purchase. This is the entire scope of compensation. See the Refund Policy for the full formula and process.
