How Zooq handles data, payments, and compliance.
Yes. Zooq provides programmatic access to publicly available professional data. Under U.S. case law — hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn (9th Circuit, 2022) and Meta Platforms, Inc. v. Bright Data Ltd. (N.D. Cal., 2024) — accessing publicly available data is generally permitted.
You are responsible for using the data in compliance with the laws applicable to you — including GDPR (EU), CASL (Canada), and your local marketing and data-protection regulations. You are also responsible for honoring opt-out requests from individuals whose data you process.
We give you the tooling. You own the use case.
Payments are processed by Sumit, a regulated Israeli payment + accounting platform. Sumit handles credit-card processing, Israeli VAT calculation, tax receipts, and chargebacks. We never see your full card number — only the last four digits and a vaulted token used for legitimate renewals.
